Sub-Processors

This page lists all third-party sub-processors that Akol engages to process personal data on behalf of our customers. We maintain this list in accordance with our Data Processing Agreement and GDPR Article 28 requirements.
Overview
As part of delivering our AI voice receptionist services, Akol engages certain third-party service providers ("sub-processors") to assist with data processing activities. Each sub-processor is carefully vetted and contractually bound to:
- Process data only on documented instructions from Akol
- Implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures
- Assist with data subject rights requests
- Delete or return all personal data upon termination
- Submit to audits and inspections as required
Data Processing Location: All sub-processors listed below are based in the United States. For EU data transfers, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and, where applicable, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Current Sub-Processors
Updates & Notifications
We will notify customers of any changes to this sub-processor list at least 30 days before a new sub-processor begins processing personal data. Notifications are sent via:
- Email to your account's primary contact
- In-app notification in your dashboard
- Updates to this page with the new "Last updated" date
We recommend bookmarking this page and checking back periodically. You can also subscribe to our changelog for updates.
Objection Process
If you have reasonable data protection concerns about a new sub-processor, you may object within the 30-day notice period. To object:
- Email [email protected] with your objection
- Clearly state your specific data protection concerns
- We will work with you in good faith to address the concern
If we cannot resolve the objection and you wish to terminate, you may do so without penalty as described in our Data Processing Agreement.
